About The Film: OVERBURDEN

OVERBURDEN is the story of a fiery, pro-coal advocate and a tenacious, environmentalist grandmother who are on opposite sides of the controversy over coal, until a tragedy unites them in taking on the most dangerous coal company in America.

This 65-minute documentary addresses the intersection of some of the most pressing issues rural White Americans face today: poverty, class, natural resource extraction, and corporate power.
